We are dedicated to creating a warm and inviting gathering space for all the community that is the social heart of the village
Our story
In April 2019 the Fox at Loxley was put up for sale. To fight losing the village pub, the Fox Action Group was formed to buy the Fox and turn it into a Community Pub. Detailed plans were put together, including a Share offer and Business plan on how we will successfully run the Fox at Loxley.
We completed the purchase of the Fox at Loxley on the 1st September 2020. The steering group would like to thank all our supporters and look forward to your continued support as we are now open as Warwickshire's newest Community Pub

Vision for the Future
Our aim is to make The Fox the hub of the village, a pub providing facilities and services that bring the community together and make it more than a pub. A warm and welcoming venue for Loxley and its surrounding villages.
Fox at Loxley Action Group
In April 2019 EI Group put the Fox pub up for sale, selling the freehold of the pub and the paddock. The risk to the village of Loxley and the people in the surrounding villages is that we will lose the Fox forever and the pub would be bought by a developer with the plan to close Loxley’s only pub.
A steering group was formed to put together and implement a plan to buy the pub and turn it into a community pub for Loxley and people who live in the surrounding villages. We successfully purchased the Fox on the 1st September 2020
Vision
Our aim is to make The Fox the hub of the village, a pub providing facilities and services that bring the community together. A warm and welcoming venue for Loxley and its surrounding villages.
Share holders
The Fox at Loxley Action Group successful raised over £250,000 from selling Community Shares and a further £100,000 loan and grant combination from the Plunkett Foundation. We have over 200 shareholders from Loxley and the surrounding area and also some investors from outside of the UK
The Pub as the Social Hub
In addition to its role as a village pub it is proposed that The Fox would incorporate a café, and provide a number of facilities to local residents, the wider rural community, and visitors of all ages. In addition a number of other initiatives are under consideration which will be driven by the wants and needs of the local community.
This includes but is not limited to using the field for growing vegetables that would be used in the Fox as well as having part of the field as a community orchard.
